West Ham United boss David Moyes is seeking a sit down meeting with four legends in a bid to better understand the club.
David Moyes silence is deafening as Stuart Pearce skips shambolic West Ham defeat
Moyes has ambitious but realistic plans for West Ham and wants to stick around for some time to come.
His job has been made all the more difficult by co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold refusing to back him in the transfer window.
The Scot has been told he must sell to buy.

Unhappy Hammers
And when young star Grady Diangana was sold against his wishes (Daily Mail), it sparked a revolt from fans AND players, led by none other than living West Ham legend and captain Mark Noble.
But it is the company of four other key Hammers legends that Moyes is seeking.
The West Ham boss is desperate to better understand the club and it’s history and traditions.
And Moyes told The Times he wants to arrange sit down meetings with Sir Trevor Brooking, Alvin Martin, Tony Cottee and Billy Bonds in a bid to do just that.
“I’d like to implement things I saw at Manchester United, Everton, Real Sociedad,” Moyes told The Times.
“The stuff that’s good and people who are good at their jobs. The recruiters. The people [who are] good at planning and organising.

Diligent Moyes wants sit down with Hammers legends
“I want to understand the West Ham culture fully and to sit down with Sir Trevor Brooking and Alvin Martin and Tony Cottee and Billy Bonds and others,” he says.
“From experience, I know that finding out about a club is key to having a level of success.”
It is admirable Moyes is making such efforts to be a success at West Ham.
Some feel it would be more admirable if he were to walk away, though.
Many supporters feel Moyes’s resignation over the lack of investment from the board – and the sale of Diangana – would send a powerful message that might expedite Sullivan and Gold’s exit from the club.

Moyes resignation would send a message but West Ham need his commitment
The last West Ham manager to resign in such circumstances was Alan Curbishley.
He walked after defender George McCartney was sold to Sunderland against his wishes.
But Curbishley has not had a job in football since.
Given Moyes’s second coming at West Ham is widely viewed as his last chance to save a flagging career, it is understandable he would be reluctant to resign.
It is hugely frustrating for Hammers supporters.
The signings of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek coupled with the emergence of bright young stars like Jeremy Ngakia and Diangana were key to Moyes’s vision for a young, energetic and exciting West Ham.
But Ngakia left to join Watford while Diangana has been sold to potential relegation rivals.
Moyes may need to get all of the legends around a table sooner rather than later.
The Hammers are facing a torrid start to the season with no new arrivals to boost morale as yet.
