The 26-year-old has received plenty of criticism from the Hammers fans this season.
Meanwhile, there has been a section of the West Ham fanbase who have staunchly defended the Ivory Coast international.

In truth, there needs to be a bit of give and take from both sides.
Haller certainly hasn’t been given the service that he needs to flourish. At the same time, however, he needs to make more happen for himself.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt is weak in the challenge and needs to offer more of an outlet for our defenders. The 26-year-old has the talent, that goes without saying. He just needs to use his qualities to greater effect.
Changed man?
David Moyes spoke to reporters yesterday and suggested that he has noticed a change in the West Ham striker’s attitude recently, as quoted by Football.London:

“The big thing you want with your centre forward is to score goals that win you games and important ones. I just sensed a change in his confidence, he is upbeat, maybe when he was away with the Ivory Coast helped and I thought many parts of his game today were very good.”
Haller was West Ham’s match winner yesterday. When the Ivorian is on form, he really is a handful.
We just need to see more from him now up until the end of the season.
If the Hammers are to enjoy success this season, we need Haller to be on his very best form. Whilst he wasn’t great yesterday, he still won us the game.
And that’s all you can ask of your centre-forward.
Perhaps the recent change in Haller that Moyes has noticed is what the striker needs to reach another level at the London Stadium. Let’s hope that’s the case at least.
