When speaking to reporters yesterday, West Ham boss David Moyes seemed to suggest that Said Benrahma will start from the bench against Manchester City today, as quoted by Football.London.

The Hammers signed the 25-year-old winger on a £4 million season-long loan from Brentford on transfer deadline day. And West Ham have an obligation to buy the Algerian next summer for a further £21 million plus £5 million in add-ons (The Guardian).
The West Ham fans are excited to see Benrahma in action. But we might just have to be patient.
Moyes eased Jarrod Bowen into action when we signed the 23-year-old from Championship side Hull City last summer.
And the Scot hinted to reporters yesterday that he may opt to slowly introduce Benrahma in the same manner, as quoted by Football.London:
“Said is doing well. He needs to get up to speed with what we want and where we are at so it has given me the opportunity to take a bit more time with him but I have said the same before with the boys from the Championship, I am not in any rush to put them in. I like to give them the opportunities at the right time.”
Benrahma absolutely lit up the Championship last season. And he clearly has the talent and ability to do the same in the Premier League.
It will be a shame if we have to wait to see the Algerian start.
But perhaps that’s the best decision in order to dampen expectations surrounding the winger. It would be no surprise to see Benrahma start on the bench for the games against City today and Liverpool next week before being unleashed against Fulham on November 7th.
Much in the same way that Bowen was eased into action earlier this year.
And let’s hope that the Algeria international takes to the West Ham way in the same manner in which Bowen has.
