Albian Ajeti faces a bleak future at West Ham. David Moyes clearly doesn’t rate the striker, and it could be time for him to move on this summer.

‘My blood is still boiling’: Robbie Savage admits sympathy for West Ham

The 23-year-old moved to the Hammers from FC Basel last summer for around £8 million (BBC).

He was expected to make a real impact at the club, with Manuel Pellegrini talking up his quality when he arrived in England (Football.London).

Ajeti has desperately failed to establish himself in east London, however. Not that he has been given much of a chance mind.

Lack of form but not enough chances to shine?

The Switzerland international has failed to rack up either a goal or an assist in 11 appearances for West Ham so far (Transfermarkt).

Sure, the former Basel man hasn’t played many minutes, but the harsh reality is that he just isn’t good enough for the Premier League.

Signing him last summer was a bizarre move from the Hammers.

It was almost as if he was brought to the London Stadium just to placate the fans who were demanding that the club sign a new striker.

And they will now surely be keen to cut their losses on Ajeti at the end of this season.

Moyes decision could signal end of Ajeti’s time in east London

With the match against Chelsea hanging in the balance on Wednesday night, David Moyes chose to bring Jarrod Bowen off and replace him with Andriy Yarmolenko.

It was another body blow for Ajeti.

West Ham were searching for a winner and the Swiss hitman was overlooked yet again. And to make matters worse, Yarmolenko bagged the winner for his team. The writing is surely on the wall for the 23-year-old.

For his own good, a move away from the London Stadium is need at the end of this season.

Ajeti’s career is stalling in east London.

And even if West Ham manage to recoup half of the £8 million fee that they paid for his services last summer, they would surely be very happy.

If the Hammers are to improve, they clearly need to bring in more adequate competition for Sebastien Haller this summer.

Because the 23-year-old Swiss quite simply hasn’t cut the mustard.
