A damning claim about what strikers think of Hammers boss David Moyes has been made by a reporter close to the West Ham board.
West Ham ended a ridiculous 18-month search for a striker when Moyes signed Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo for £35m in the summer.
But West Ham’s style of play has not suited the Italian so far as he feeds off scraps on his own up front.
West Ham are the joint second lowest scorers in the entire Premier League so far this season with just 12 goals from 15 games.

Michail Antonio has been out of form for the best part of a year and turns 33 in March.
The reality is West Ham needed to signed another forward BEFORE they let Sebastien Haller go. So realistically Moyes should have brought in two forwards in the summer and West Ham are paying a heavy price for their lack of foresight and options.
Ahead of the January window West Ham are already being linked with a host of strikers.
But West Ham fans should not get their hopes up it seems.
That’s after a damning claim was made about what strikers think of Moyes by a reporter close to the West Ham board.
Hugh Southon of Claret and Hugh says strikers simply don’t want to come to West Ham because of the ‘Moyes policy’.
And the Hammers board are also reluctant to give the Scot anymore money anyway.
“Strikers across the PL and Europe know how limited their chances of games would be under the Moyes policy and aren’t keen to join as a result anyway,” Southon says on Claret and Hugh.

“The Hammers have very little money to spend in this window and Moyes has shown in the past that he isn’t keen to buy in the winter.
“And the board have made it clear to him that he has to show those players he bought in the summer are up to the job.”
If that is how strikers see West Ham then it is very worrying indeed.
That certainly would explain a lot given how long it took Moyes to finally get a forward in the door after Haller’s departure.
Moyes admitted after the summer window in 2021 that he had tried to sign a host of strikers to no avail.
Now it seems the onus is very much on the Scot to make it work at West Ham for Scamacca and co with little outside help.
