The Hammers are in real trouble at the moment. They are currently languishing just outside the relegation zone. And David Moyes will be desperate for his side to pick up all three points against their bitter rivals tonight.
Jose Mourinho will be looking for a vital three points too in order to keep his side’s feint hopes of a top four finish alive.
West Ham won 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season. In fact, they were the first team to score and win at Spurs’s new home.
The Hammers were woeful against Wolves on Saturday at the London Stadium, however. And Moyes’s men will need to drastically improve upon that display if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking maximum points from their clash with Spurs.
Let’s just hope that Moyes implements an aggressive, ambitious and attacking game-plan. The West Ham players absolutely must be 100 per cent up for this game tonight.
If they’re not, they do not deserve anything else other than relegation.
