West Ham United are a ‘disgrace’ and the players should give their wages back to the club after the 3-2 win over Chelsea.

That’s according to salty Chelsea-supporting talkSPORT presenter Andy Jacobs.

West Ham completed the double over Chelsea thanks to Andriy Yarmolenko’s excellent last gasp winner.

Speaking on the Hawksbee and Jacobs show in the aftermath of West Ham’s crucial victory, the presenter was still enraged by the result.

Pint of bitter for Mr Jacobs

And in a pathetic, patronising rant, Jacobs contradicted himself repeatedly as he labelled West Ham a ‘disgrace’.

Jacobs also rather crassly stated he hopes West Ham are relegated from the Premier League.

“I mean talk about bogey team, honestly!” Jacobs said on talkSPORT.

“One of the worst West Ham teams I have ever seen and we’ve lost six points to them this season.

“You take that six points off them and give them to us – which is what it should have been in both games – and basically they’re relegated and we’re third – it’s unbelievable how one fixture (can shape a season).

‘West Ham are a disgrace, please let them be relegated’

“Chelsea had a very poor night, the defending was… pitiful, let’s be honest. I just feel West Ham, really their league position is a total disgrace. If they can play like that they should be top six, not bottom four, it’s absolutely ridiculous.

“Their players should give the club their wages back, I don’t know what they’ve been doing all season. I watched them against Wolves and Spurs and they were abject. They couldn’t be bothered, they were lacklustre, error-prone. Come up against us, oh look absolutely brilliant.

“If West Ham were relegated – oh please let that happen – it would be worth an extra six points to us. I think we’ve beaten them twice in the last nine fixtures. They absolutely deserved to win, there’s no question about it, they played really well. Gary Neville said they really surprised him, I said well they didn’t surprise me, that’s how they always play against us, that’s what they do West Ham.

“Chelsea are the only team that could beat Man City then go and lose to the worst West Ham team you’ve ever seen.

“It’s unbelievable but there you go that’s football.”

Pathetic, condescending rant reeks of sour grapes

The contradictory rant at least gave West Ham fans a good laugh after the important win.

The condescending tone suggests Jacobs has forgotten Chelsea’s far from illustrious past playing in front of average attendances of just 8,000 with Gavin Peacock as their star player.

Even now West Ham dwarf Chelsea’s attendances with a huge fanbase.

Indeed Roman Abramovich’s riches and the trophies it has brought to the club are the only metric that enable Chelsea to laud it over West Ham.

Indeed Chelsea’s most successful period of modern times was built around players produced by West Ham in the shape of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and Glen Johnson.
