According to a report from the Guardian, Chelsea could sell Emerson Palmieri for just £18 million this summer, with Inter Milan monitoring the Italian. But David Moyes should make a move for the 25-year-old as well – he’d be perfect for West Ham.

First thing’s first for the Hammers, they must avoid relegation. If the east London outfit manage to do that, and Moyes shifts some, or all, of the deadwood, they should be able to make a few top class signings, in spite of the financial effects from the global health crisis.
Left-back is certainly an area where West Ham will be looking to improve.
Obvious where Moyes needs to strengthen
Aaron Cresswell is well past his best. The 30-year-old has completely lost his pace and he has regressed badly this season.
Arthur Masuaku, meanwhile, is just not consistent enough to be playing regularly for a Premier League team with top 10 aspirations.
And with that in mind, Emerson could be just the man for the job at the London Stadium.
Frank Lampard will undoubtedly be looking to sign a new left-back this summer. He is clearly hasn’t been overly enamoured with either the 25-year-old Italian or Marcos Alonso.
So the 42-year-old would surely allow the former Roma left-back to depart Stamford Bridge this summer.
Stats
In 14 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season, the Italy international has averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 1.1 clearances per game (Who Scored).
Emerson is an attacking full-back who likes to get forward at every opportunity. He possesses a wicked delivery, and he could give West Ham an entirely different dimension to their attacking play down the left flank.
£18 million seems like decent value for the 25-year-old Blues ace.
And David Moyes should consider taking a punt on the Italian this summer by bringing him to West Ham.
