West Ham fans have a new unexpected hero this season in Robert Snodgrass.
When Slaven Bilic sent the Scotsman out on loan to Aston Villa last season, many believed that his West Ham career was over.
But Manuel Pellegrini has recalled him into the first-team set-up and he has now established himself as a regular starter.
Assist king

The 31-year-old was instrumental once again in setting up a win against Cardiff City.
Snodgrass showed great composure to set Lucas Perez up for the opener and then his corner was headed in by Michail Antonio to put West Ham 3-0 up.
These assists followed another one last weekend, where his inch-perfect cross was finished off by Javier Hernandez.
Snodgrass now has seven assists for the season to go with his two cup goals.
West Ham resurrection

Many West Ham fans doubted Snodgrass before this season but he has changed plenty of supporters’ minds.
The Scotland international has grafted hard, shown true professionalism and earned his place in Pellegrini’s team.
Below are what West Ham fans had to say about another Snodgrass masterclass.
