The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United last month.

Lingard has already made a huge impact at the London Stadium.

The 24-capped England international has scored two goals for West Ham and has totally transformed the way in which we attack as a team.

One of the Hammers’ main priorities now should be getting Lingard signed up on a permanent deal in the summer.

Ben Johnson blown away by West Ham teammate Jesse Lingard

The Manchester United owned ace seems to be really enjoying his football at the London Stadium. He has clearly made a huge impression on his new teammates as well.

Ben Johnson told the club’s official website how he has been blown away by Lingard’s impact at West Ham:

“You can see that Jesse has played at the top level – he’s played at the World Cup, he’s won the Europa League and other trophies. You can see the quality he brings to the side, just with his cleverness. He knows what he’s going to do before he gets the ball, so to play with him and give him the ball and be confident he’s going to do something with it is really nice. To have him here, and to see how he’s bounced back from not playing and having people doubt him is fantastic. You know he’s going to keep going and keep improving.”

If Lingard continues to perform like he has done in his first three games for the Hammers, David Moyes will surely try to sign him permanently in the summer.

This is a great time to be a West Ham fan.

And having Lingard in East London has certainly helped with that feel-good factor. Let’s just hope that the good times aren’t as temporary as the 28-year-old loan deal.
