Former West Ham United star Anton Ferdinand has hinted at some sort of involvement on the club’s coaching staff in the future.
Danny Murphy puts West Ham in top six mix thanks to ‘pivotal’ Rice
Ferdinand, the younger brother of another ex-Hammers star Rio, is now very much a West Ham fan.
While Rio aligns himself more with Manchester United, Anton has his colours well and truly nailed to the West Ham mast.
The Ferdinands have a lot of history at West Ham, where both graduated from the club’s self-styled ‘Academy of football’ and into the first team as centre halves.

Anton a dyed-in-the-wool Hammer
Anton was always passionate about representing his boyhood club and made 138 appearances for the East Londoners, scoring five memorable goals along the way.
He was sold to Sunderland in 2008 with the club struggling financially after the Icelandic banking collapse.
While Rio’s career reached the very pinnacle of the professional game, Anton’s followed a slightly less illustrious path and stalled in the fallout of the infamous John Terry incident with stints in Turkey and Thailand.
That unsavoury sags is set to cast Anton back into the limelight next week. The former Hammer will star in a new documentary titled Anton Ferdinand: Football, Racism and Me on BBC.

Academy graduate turned fan hints at future involvement with his old club
West Ham fans love the passion Anton shows for his former club.
And he took to Twitter to state he will one day be involved with West Ham again.
“One day I will be involved in some capacity,” Anton said when the possibility was put to him by a West Ham fan on Twitter.
Whether that was a statement of intent or Anton knows something we don’t remains to be seen.
West Ham must ensure they keep passionate former academy stars and players in and around the club in some guise.

Carlton Cole is currently involved with the youth teams as is Kevin Keen.
Jack Collison was the Under 18s coach too before moving to MLS.
And of course former Hammers captain Kevin Nolan is one of David Moyes’s assistants.
There were rumours Joe Cole could come into the club in a similar role (The Sun).
But that failed to materialise.
