Angelo Ogbonna has named five talented Everton players ahead of West Ham’s trip to Everton, whufc.com reports.
The Hammers will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat before the international break at the weekend. Manuel Pellegrini’s men are in action for the early kick-off against Everton at Goodison Park.
Ahead of the game, Ogbonna noted that Everton have a number of dangerous attacking players. Among them is Moise Kean, who was coming through the ranks at Juventus while Ogbonna played for the Italian giants.
Angelo Ogbonna wary of Everton threat
Ogbonna told the club’s official website: “They have good attacking players like Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi, [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and a young player I heard a lot about when I was in Juventus and he was in the Academy, Moise Kean, who has a lot of skills and is very strong. But we just have to focus on our jobs and getting the three points.”
Some of the players named by Ogbonna have struggled this season. Kean, for example, swapped Juve for Everton but has not yet opened his account. Everton fans want to see more of the Italian wonderkid.
Sigurdsson is having a quiet season by his standards with no goals to his name. The Iceland international also missed a penalty against Andorra and some Everton fans are calling for him to be dropped. Iwobi is an option to replace him in the number 10 role after moving from Arsenal on deadline day.
Calvert-Lewin has grabbed some goals but there are question marks over his end product while Richarlison has not hit the heights of last season. West Ham and Ogbonna will want to keep these Everton attackers quiet on Saturday to seal three points.
