Sam Allardyce is a very clever guy. He has been his usual arrogant self in the build up to this weekends clash between Former club West Ham United and new club Sunderland. Allardyce claims that he single handedly rebuilt the club, and also claims that no matter what he did, he was always going to get abuse. Even previous managers Alan Pardew and Harry Redknapp are alleged to have warned Allardyce.

But all Allardyce is doing, is trying to take the heat off of his players. He knows if he winds us up, all focus will be on him, allowing his team to play with freedom, and our team without support.

It’s a clever move, and after reading a lot of fans websites and social media, it does seem that he has got us all going. But how should we react? I shall tell you…..

We sing Slaven Bilic’s name loud and proud. We get behind the team and roar them on to a victory. We sing Payet’s name, and let him ruin the Sunderland defence. We acknowledge the work that Allardyce did in getting us back to the Premier League, but we show him exactly how we should have been playing and what we appreciate.

Saturday is not about the return of Allardyce; it’s about our push for the top 6, and celebrating an important 3 points!
