Alan Shearer offered high words of praise for West Ham ace Aaron Cresswell, when writing a column for the Premier League’s official website.

The 30-year-old has completely reinvented himself as a left-sided centre-back this season.
Cresswell really struggled to impress when playing at left-back for the Hammers last season. In fact, many West Ham fans wanted the former Ipswich Town man gone.
But David Moyes deserves so much credit for moving the Liverpool born ace back into the back three. In doing so, the Scot has essentially helped save Cresswell’s Hammers career.
The 30-year-old has been rock solid at the back for West Ham this season, and he has been a real threat going forward as well. Cresswell has three assists to his name in eight Premier League games this term (Transfermarkt).
And Alan Shearer was highly complimentary of the West Ham man when writing a column for the Premier League’s official website:
“He is having a great season. He provides superb deliveries for the forwards and is sound defensively.”
Shearer is spot on. Cresswell has been truly brilliant this season.
Many would argue that he has been our best and most consistent player thus far. And that really is saying something after his shoddy performances last season.
And if Cresswell continues to produce the goods for West Ham this season, there is no reason why he won’t be in England boss Gareth Southgate’s mind ahead of Euro 2021.
