Alan Shearer absolutely raved about West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen, when speaking on Match of the Day 2 on Sunday night.
The 25-year-old Hammers forward has been in really poor form so far this season, and looks like a complete shadow of the player who bagged 18 goals and 13 assists in 51 games last term.

David Moyes has continued to pick Bowen, in spite of his poor form. We don’t think that’s the right way to go but what can we do?
Maybe Moyes thinks the best thing for Bowen to do is play himself out of this poor patch of form.
Hopefully the ex-Hull City star manages to rediscover his best form…and fast. Alan Shearer has shared his belief that that’s exactly what he will do…

The BBC Sport pundit was speaking on MOTD 2 on Sunday and responded when asked whether he believes Bowen will do enough to hold down his place in the England squad for the World Cup:
We know he can do it, it’s just a matter of time. I think he’s the one that will stay and he has done and I know you’ve just read out no assists, no goals, but that will change, he’s too good of a player not to.
Let’s hope that Shearer has called this one spot on.
In order for Bowen to return to his best form though, we really feel as though Moyes needs to drop him down to the bench for a couple of games.
At least then the 25-year-old will really feel like his has a point to prove when he is substituted on.
Hopefully Jarrod Bowen starts racking up the goals and assists regularly for West Ham again. Because if he doesn’t, his place in Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad will be seriously under threat.
