Last week was really busy. On Wednesday I was given a medal by the Mayor of Dartford for my services to charity. It was at the Mayors offices in the evening and I was really proud. I had to go home early because I had to be up early for a busy day.
On Thursday Stephanie Moore invited me to The Bobby Moore Lounge at Wembley Stadium to the annual Bobby Moore Fund Thank You Lunch. It is always really special but being at Wembley was awesome. Stephanie is always kind and she gives me a hug and she always says ‘thank you’ for helping her and her charity. I was allowed to go out in the stadium and have some photos, it was great, and I met some real football greats including Geoff Hurst, George Cohen and Stuart Pearce.
After lunch I had to rush to the other side of London to another award show. I was a finalist in the 2103 Justgiving Awards as Young Fundraiser of the Year. It was a really great award show and I was runner up in my category.
I had 3 events in 24 hours but it was great for the charity because it raised lots of awareness for The Bobby Moore Fund and it was really fun.
I found out this week that I am also a finalist in The Institute of Fundraising awards for 2013, Young Fundraiser of The Year. The awards show is on 1st July, fingers crossed.
