West Ham United have trolled Premier League legend Alan Shearer after he revealed his team of the week.
The Hammers beat Southampton 3-0 last time out to go into the last game of the season with a top half finish in their hands.
West Ham’s victory over Shearer’s former club was comfortable.
And it featured one of the best individual performances from a West Ham player all season.

How do you top perfection?
Ryan Fredericks has struggled to establish himself in his debut season following a free transfer from Fulham.
But his performances have steadily improved in line with his growing confidence.
And he literally put in a faultless display in the 3-0 win over the Saints, scoring a wonderful goal to boot.
Prior to Saturday, it was nearly 10 years since a defender had received a perfect ‘10’ rating from the respected football statistics website WhoScored.com.
Arsenal’s Thomas Vermaelen was the last to receive such a glowing assessment, back in October 2009, until Fredericks matched him.

Shearer drops the ball
But he somehow failed to make Shearer’s team of the week.
Instead Shearer opted for Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold. And a perplexed West Ham trolled Shearer on Twitter along with legions of fans.
“No Ryan Fredericks?” West Ham replied to the Twitter post containing Shearer’s team of the week.
Fredericks’s teammates Mark Noble and Marko Arnautovic made the cut.

Saving private Ryan
Modest Fredericks refrained to join in the debate despite being tagged into hundreds of posts.
He will undoubtedly be keeping his head down after urging Manuel Pellegrini not to replace him this summer, read full story.
At least it leaves Fredericks with something to aim for this weekend as West Ham travel to Watford with a ninth place finish in their sights.
