West Ham United legend Tony Cottee has backed the club to stay up… just.
West Ham’s hopes of survival were boosted at the weekend when they ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over Southampton.
But a win for Watford and a draw for Bournemouth against Chelsea took the edge off West Ham’s result.

West Ham boost survival chances
The Hammers remain out of the bottom three on goal difference going into this weekend’s game at Arsenal.
David Moyes’s side must get four wins or three wins and three draws from their final 10 games to have a realistic chance of staying up.
West Ham face a tricky run on paper with the Arsenal game followed by Wolves at home, Spurs away and Chelsea at home.
The Hammers then face five winnable games in their last six.

Hammers legend Cottee believes, but fires warning
Legend Cottee, who scored 146 goals for West Ham over two spells, believes the club will stay up.
But speaking during a Twitter Q&A with fans, Cottee warned it won’t be straightforward.
“I do think West Ham will stay up,” Cottee said on Twitter.
“But as is so typical we’ll probably make hard work of it.
“It’s just part of being a West Ham fan. COYI.”
