Former Tottenham Hotspur star turned pundit Jamie O’Hara has delivered an emphatic verdict on West Ham United.
West Ham have enjoyed a wonderful start to the season. In truth the Hammers have enjoyed a wonderful last 19 months under David Moyes.
Three wins in a week – away at Man United in the Carabao Cup, then Leeds in the Premier League and a 2-0 victory over Rapid Wien in the Europa League last night – have West Ham fans on cloud nine.

The job Moyes has done at West Ham, turning a relegation threatened side into a genuine European outfit, is simply remarkable.
So much so it even has talkSPORT pundit O’Hara – a huge Spurs fan who does not dish out praise to West Ham easily – drooling.
Speaking on talkSPORT after West Ham’s win over Rapid Wien which leaves them top of Group H on six points, O’Hara said he simply has to hold his hands up.

“Another brilliant performance and what I loved about them, it was the 90th minute and they’re still attacking,” O’Hara said on The Sports Bar on Thursday night.
“They’re 1-0 up, it wasn’t ‘Right let’s shut up shop and defend and try and see it through and get the ball in the corner’, they’re still trying to attack, to create chances.
“They’re an absolute joy to watch. You can’t (as a Spurs fan) enjoy watching West Ham (but) I am enjoying watching them!

“If you look at the teams in the Europa you have to say West Ham are favourites to win it.
“You want to come on this show sometimes and you want to create an argument. But sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and say West Ham are a joy to watch.”
Credit where it is due, it must hurt O’Hara to lavish such praise on one of Tottenham’s bitter rivals.
Let’s hope he’s right and West Ham really can go all the way.
