West Ham youngster Declan Rice may have just secured a start against Wolves this weekend.
The 19-year old was very impressive against AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday in the 3-1 Carabao Cup victory.
Rice started alongside Pedro Obiang in a holding midfield role.

The Spaniard was hooked at half time after a poor display, but his partner Rice remained on and flourished at Kingsmeadow.
The Irishman was assured in possession and totally bossed the midfield in the second half.
A vast improvement
Rice showed that he is more than capable of playing as a holding midfielder.
In the first game against Liverpool Pellegrini substituted him at half time and he was then left out of the squad entirely against Bournemouth.

The teen had a tough experience at Anfield but there was no shame in Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino giving him the runaround.
At Kingsmeadow Rice did show what he is all about therefore Pellegrini should definitely consider him for this weekend.
Wolves await
West Ham have a tricky game with Wolves this weekend.
They have some dangerous attacking players such as Diogo Jota, Adama Traore, Helder Costa and Raul Jimenez.

West Ham will need to keep tabs on all of them, and Rice may well be the perfect counter with his size and aggression; with Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop as the central defenders behind him.
Rice certainly deserves to start at the London Stadium following his display against Wimbledon.
It’s definitely a ‘better’ game in which Rice can make his mark compared to the baptism of fire that was Liverpool.
