West Ham fans react as Anthony Scully scores yet again

Anthony Scully took his tally to 13 goals in 13 competitive games for West Ham U23s this season.

Scully has enjoyed a remarkable season at West Ham, benefitting from some unfortunate circumstances. Going into this campaign, Scully was a winger but he has been converted into a winger.

Injuries to Xande Silva, Sean Adarkwa and Mesaque Dju opened a door for Scully. With Oladapo Afolayan out on loan and Jahmal Hector-Ingram no longer at the club, Scully was the only choice for Dimitri Halajko.

It would be an understatement to say that his form has exceeded all expectations. Scully scored against Swansea City on Sunday to register his 13th competitive goal of the season.

The 20-year-old has 10 goals in his last seven league matches. In addition, he has found the net twice in the EFL Trophy (against senior opposition). And he scored his first Premier League International Cup goal against Wolfsburg B in the week.

West Ham’s first-team is struggling so Scully is surely knocking on Manuel Pellegrini’s door. Sebastien Haller looks isolated up front so Scully could be his potential partner. Here are some Hammers discussing Scully.
