Lewis Orford has been named as the most exciting youngster at West Ham, and one of the best 20 young talents in the Premier League.

The Guardian have just released their list of the best 20 youngsters in the Premier League at the moment, with one player from each team making the list.

West Ham have one of the most highly-regarded academies in English football.

Throughout the years, we have produced the likes of Bobby Moore, Martin Peters and Geoff Hurst, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Mark Noble and more recently Declan Rice.

We have some incredibly talented youngster amongst our ranks now as well, including the likes of Jamal Batiste, Dan Chesters, Harrison Ashby and Armstrong Okoflex.

There is someone else, who perhaps many haven’t heard of, and he really is rather special…

Lewis Orford most exciting youngster at West Ham

The 16-year-old Hammer has been named as the most exciting youngster at the London Stadium and one of the Premier League’s 20 most talented young players by The Guardian.

Orford is very highly rated at West Ham and it’s little wonder why. He really is an exceptional young player.

He bagged three goals and eight assists in 25 games for the Hammers’ under-18’s last season (Transfermarkt).

This term, he already has four goals and one assist to his name in just four games so far (Transfermarkt).

The talented central midfielder is a gifted technician and has really impressed at youth level for the Hammers over the past year or so.

Lewis Orford being named the most exciting youngster at West Ham and one of the Premier League’s best 20 young talents should give him a huge confidence boost.

It will be interesting to keep a close eye on the talented youngster over the next few years to see how he develops.
