West Ham rejected loan offers for Xande Silva in the summer, according to recent reports.
Football.London reports that West Ham dismissed loan enquiries from Football League clubs as Manuel Pellegrini rates Silva highly.
Pellegrini is keeping his tabs on the Portugal youth international’s progress. He could be in line for some first-team opportunities soon.
Silva’s start in East London
The 21-year-old joined West Ham this summer. He signed from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.
Silva arrived with a high reputation. And he made an instant impression for the Hammers.
The Portuguese striker scored a hat-trick on his debut against Tottenham Hotspur. Now, he has five goals in five games in the Premier League 2.
In addition, Silva played against Bristol Rovers in the Checkatrade Trophy. He had a lively game, although he failed to find the net.
Here are how some West Ham fans reacted to the news that Pellegrini might include him in the first-team.
Smart move if you ask me @GoldXandeSilva is a breath of fresh air and hungry would fit in well coyi

100% hungry fit and scoring goals will definitely play a big part in the cup and also if we get a lot of injuries could be useful in the league

Is it just me or is anyone expecting him not to be in and around the first team? I hope he is used in the cups but just can’t see Pellegrini giving him a chance yet

Great decision, this could see Hernandez off I think unless he regains his form.
