West Ham’s academy side stretched their unbeaten run to 13 games since Dmitri Halajko took over as manager. The young Hammers beat Valencia B 1-0 last night at Dagenham & Redbridge’s stadium thanks to Nathan Holland’s early goal.

It was a tough test for West Ham U23s in the Premier League International Cup. Valencia B boast plenty of talent but West Ham coped with the pressure well and managed a 1-0 win. It was particularly satisfying as West Ham were without big guns like Conor Coventry and Aji Alese.

West Ham’s U23 team were relegated last season but have not lost since Halajko took the job as manager. Dating back to pre-season, he has overseen 13 matches and the young Irons are unbeaten. Here are five of the best pictures from a special night in East London.
