West Ham United reportedly could sign Venezia striker Joel Pohjanpalo this summer.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Venezia hitman Joel Pohjanpalo is firmly on the radar of West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Gianluca Scamacca has just been sold to Atalanta, so it will be crucial for Hammers boss David Moyes to bring a new striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Pohjanpalo, 28, is someone who was linked with a move to sign for West Ham last month.
And it seems as though the East London outfit could be ready to pull the trigger with a move to sign the 63-capped Finland international in the pipeline…
West Ham eyeing pathetic £3 million deal for 28-year-old striker after Scamacca exit
Tutto Mercato Web reckon that the Hammers can sign Pohjanpalo from Venezia for around £3 million this summer.
I just think that this is a deal we should be steering well clear of.
The 28-year-old was in fine form in Serie B last season, bagging 19 goals and seven assists in 37 games for Venezia (Transfermarkt).

However, it has to be said that this would be an incredibly underwhelming signing for West Ham, if Moyes does indeed bring him to the London Stadium.
Pohjanpalo will be 29 next month. Surely there are better strikers out there available this summer – in fact I know there are. All it will require to sign them is more ambition from the board and Moyes!
West Ham cannot be taken seriously as a club if we’re selling players like Scamacca and replacing him with someone like Joel Pohjanpalo.
No offence to the Finnish forward, but he’s just not good enough for Premier League football in my opinion, and the Hammers should look elsewhere.
