West Ham and Leeds United are two clubs mentioned in pursuit of Malmo youngster Amel Mujanic, according to reports in Sweden.
Former Bolton Wanderers striker Ivan Klanic is Mujanic’s agent and has revealed that West Ham and Leeds are two clubs chasing his client.
West Ham and Leeds want Amel Mujanic
Swedish media outlet Aftonbladet reports that West Ham and Leeds are two of the English clubs trying to sign Mujanic, according to his agent Klasnic.
Klasnic told Aftonbladet that Mujanic is thriving at Malmo but he might need to move away from the club if he does not get the chances he deserves.
He added that there is interest from England and other countries, name dropping West Ham and Leeds as two clubs keen on Mujanic.
Who is Amel Mujanic?
Mujanic is a highly rated young Swedish player who currently plays for Malmo’s under-19 team. He did, however, feature in the first-team’s training camp in Marbella and was an unused substitute in a friendly match against Brentford.
The 17-year-old has not yet been offered an apprenticeship by Malmo, which could force him to move abroad. And the Sweden youth international appears to have options on the table from Leeds and West Ham.
The Hammers previously dipped into the Swedish market to sign Sead Haksabanovic, while Leeds star Pontus Jansson started his career with Malmo.
