Reece Oxford is being heavily linked with a West Ham exit before the end of the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports News, Championship club Nottingham Forest will rival Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt for Oxford.

The 20-year-old is out of favour at West Ham and these two clubs are lining up an £8m move.

And according to Dutch media outlet Leeuwarder Courant, Eredivisie side Heerenveen are also in the hunt for Oxford.

Oxford burst onto the scene when he was handed his debut away at Arsenal in Slaven Bilic’s first game.

He was 16 at the time and he turned in a man of the match performance in an unfamiliar defensive midfield role.

But since then, the 6ft 3in centre-back has only played 17 times for West Ham. He has also spent time out on loan at Reading and Borussia Monchengladbach.

This season, Manuel Pellegrini has not used Oxford at all and he has had to settle for a spot in the under-23 team.

It is therefore unsurprising to see the England under-20 international keen to move away from West Ham to reinvent himself elsewhere.

And here are some things West Ham fans are saying about this potential exit.
