Even if the Hammers manage to sign Tomas Soucek on a permanent deal at the end of the season, Moyes will surely still be keen to bolster his central midfield ranks even further still.
Carlos Sanchez is set to leave this summer, whilst Mark Noble will be 33 in a few days time.
Declan Rice has also been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium.
And France Football claims that West Ham could be looking to shore up their engine room with a move for Fiorentina ace Erick Pulgar.
The 26-year-old is a defensive midfielder by trade. But he also possesses impeccable technique.
Stats
The combative ace is an international teammate of another reported West Ham target – Alex Sanchez.
Pulgar has racked up four goals and five assists in 29 games for Fiorentina this season (Transfermarkt).
In 25 Serie A outings for the Italian outfit, the 24-capped Chile international has averaged 2.4 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 1.4 clearances per game (Who Scored).
During those appearances, Pulgar has averaged 40.4 passes per game with a hugely impressive completion rate of 86.6% (Who Scored).
The 26-year-old joined Fiorentina last summer for a fee believed to be worth around £10 million plus bonuses (Football Italia).
The Chilean is an incredibly important player for La Viola. So West Ham will surely have to offer the Italians a substantial some of money, if they are to bring him to the London Stadium this summer.
It seems as though the midfielder is perfectly suited to the Premier League. And on paper, he would be a superb addition for West Ham.
It remains to be seen whether the Hammers can afford him in the current climate, however.
