Marko Arnautovic scored his first two goals since his January transfer saga as West Ham beat Southampton 3-0 at The London Stadium.

Arnautovic’s performances have improved in the last few matches and he was finally rewarded with some goals.

The Austrian striker burst through and beat Fraser Forster to give West Ham the lead. And then he headed in a second goal from close-range in the second half.

But West Ham fans are split on whether to keep Arnautovic. After the drama in January, some believe he is too risky to keep.

The 30-year-old tried to force a move to China (story first reported by talkSPORT). But after that fell through, Arnautovic signed a new deal and stayed with West Ham.

At first, his performances dipped. Arnautovic had already netted eight goals by early January. But he then went on a goal drought lasting nearly four months before his brace against the Saints.

However, Manuel Pellegrini alluded to Arnautovic staying at West Ham. He told whufc.com: “Next season, I am sure we are going to see the Marko Arnautovic who knows how much he can give to this club.”

Here are some tweets from West Ham fans discussing Pellegrini’s comments and whether they want Arnautovic to stay.
