Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is a target for West Ham, according to The Mirror.
Manuel Pellegrini is weighing up his options ahead of the January transfer window. And he could target more depth in defence.
Cahill is not getting much game time at Chelsea this season and could be on the move in January.
With less than a year remaining on his contract, West Ham are eyeing a permanent move for the experienced defender.
Cahill at Chelsea
Cahill’s career has been successful since leaving Bolton Wanderers for Chelsea.
The 61-cap England international has won two Premier League titles and also picked up the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup trophies.
The 32-year-old has played just 21 minutes in the Premier League this season, though, and could move on.
The potential arrival of Cahill appears to have split opinion among West Ham supporters.
This is what West Ham fans are saying about this rumour on social media.
Good defender I’d take that

Gary Cahill has been linked with a move to us tonight.
I think I speak for a large majority of people when I do the polite thing and just say no thank you.

Good defender but does he get in ahead of Diop? No. Does he get in ahead of Balbuena? No.
