Reliable West Ham insider EXWHUEmployee has confirmed that three Hammers could be set for a Championship move this summer. And Slaven Bilic’s appointment at West Bromwich Albion could play a factor in where this trio ends up.

On The West Ham Way podcast on Phoenix FM (Wednesday 12th June), EXWHUEmployee told listeners that Bilic’s appointment as West Brom boss could see Sam Byram and Reece Oxford head to The Hawthorns.

Jordan Hugill is also set to leave this summer with Championship clubs interested. However, Bilic never worked with the ex-Preston North End striker and he was not mentioned as a target.

Byram spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest. And manager Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Forest want the right-back to return to The City Ground (The Nottingham Post).

However, there could be a twist in this transfer pursuit. Several Championship clubs want the ex-Leeds United defender and Bilic could get first dibs if he wants him.

Bilic signed Byram for the Hammers in January 2016. But injuries have limited the 25-year-old to just 36 games in claret and blue.

With a summer exit likely, West Brom could be Byram’s next destination. Mason Holgate’s loan expired and Craig Dawson could leave so the Baggies might need Byram.

According to The Telegraph, Middlesbrough and West Brom are preparing £2m swoops for Oxford after his Augsburg permanent move fell through.

EXWHUEmployee backed this transfer story up. Oxford’s move to Augsburg has hit a snag over personal terms and he could well be heading to the Championship.

Bilic gave the 20-year-old his West Ham debut four years ago. And now the pair could reunite at The Hawthorns to reignite his stalling career. At a relatively low cost, this could be a masterstroke by Bilic.

Oxford is ready to leave West Ham after falling down the pecking order. Bilic will be eager to get the best out of the England U20 centre-back.
