West Ham are reportedly set to let Reece Oxford leave for a bargain price. According to Sky Sports News, FC Augsburg and West Ham have agreed a £3m fee for Oxford to make a permanent move to Germany.

Oxford spent last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach. And after failing to break into Manuel Pellegrini’s plans, he was loaned out to Augsburg in January.

He has since played a handful of games for the Bundesliga club, picking up a red card and losing his starting spot earlier this season. But he is now back in the starting line-up.

Augsburg believe the England U20 international has a lot of potential. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, he is a dominant centre-half who can also play in midfield.

But his time at West Ham looks likely to come to an end. The 20-year-old has managed just 17 appearances since his debut as a 16-year-old in 2015.

West Ham fans took to Twitter to share their views on Oxford. Many believe £3m for a promising young player is way below his value. Here are some of the best tweets on this deal.
