Fletcher set for exit

It has been confirmed by EFL Championship side Middlesbrough that they have a deal in place to sign our young striker Ashley Fletcher. Gary Monk’s men were relegated from the Premier League last season and have also wrapped up Darren Randolph from us in this transfer window. However, Boro are still yet to agree personal terms with the former Manchester United man, who will arrive at The Riverside tomorrow after being given permission to leave our tour of Germany. Fletcher made several Premier League appearances under Slaven Bilic last season, but only made a couple of starts, scoring once in a League cup fixture at Old Trafford. The news has angered many Hammers fans, as the 21-year-old’s imminent departure leaves us with only one fit first-team striker. Many Hammers also believe that we must secure the likes of Raul Jimenez and Keita Balde before we let the likes of Fletcher and Feghouli go. Nevertheless, it now looks certain that the young starlet will be on his way, leaving behind a promising career at The London Stadium.

Adrian set for Palace switch

It has been rumoured this week by The Sun that Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign our Spanish keeper Adrian San-Miguel. The former Real Betis man is understood to have considered his future after the purchase of England No.1 Joe Hart. However, some media outlets are reporting that Bilic is set to offer the Andalusian a new-deal in order to lure him into staying. Nevertheless, interest from Frank De Boer’s Palace and Newcastle United could prove to be too tempting for a player whose best chance of playing first-team football may lay elsewhere.

Hammers eye Serie A man

Various Italian Newspapers have reported our interest in Genoa midfielder Diego Laxalt, despite his desire to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The 24-year-old has been capped several times for Uruguay and was once on the books of former European giants Inter Milan. He is known as a physical and mobile central midfielder, and has been likened to Inter legend Alvaro Recoba. However, a number of Premier League clubs are said to be interested in Laxalt, with the asking price estimated to be around £10 million. So, could the promising young talent be the man to fill the gap that will be left by injured Cheikhou Kouyate at the start of the season?

Celtic in Snodgrass hunt

It has been reported in the last few days by Football.London that Celtic have joined the race to sign our Scottish winger Robert Snodgrass. The 29-year-old grew up supporting the 2016/2017 SPL Champions and would be keen on a move back to his home city of Glasgow. Snodgrass was signed back in January as a replacement for French winger Dimitri Payet, but has failed to follow in his footsteps and impress in East-London. The signing of fellow wide-man Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City is understood to have unsettled the Scotland international even more, with an imminent departure on the cards. So, could the torrid relationship between the former Hull City man and the Hammers faithful be coming to an end in the next few weeks?
