David Moyes has dropped a tantalising West Ham transfer update as he leaves the door open on late window signings.

With our recently passed co-owner David Gold still firmly in our thoughts it is fitting to tell West Ham fans ‘don’t go to bed’.

Those were the famous words uttered by Gold as he tried to keep West Ham fans informed on the club’s transfer activity one deadline day during his tenure.

The words seem particularly apt today as it appears the Hammers are not done in the transfer window with just over four days to go until the deadline.

As reported on Hammers News last week, the signing of striker Danny Ings was not necessarily the end of West Ham’s recruitment in January.

Especially after the forward picked up an injury less than 24 hours after being unveiled by West Ham.

As reported previously, a West Ham board ITK reporter has claimed that the club has ‘multiple active bids’ in for targets.

Since then there have been suggestions West Ham will not be making any more signings. That has raised eyebrows among fans given the injuries to Ings and Kurt Zouma and the sale of Craig Dawson to Wolves.

But now Moyes has dropped a tantalising West Ham transfer update as he leaves the door open on late window signings.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of the FA Cup tie at Derby, Moyes refused to rule out West Ham making more signings.

“We brought in the players we wanted in the summer, then brought in Danny Ings a week ago,” Moyes said in his pre-Derby press conference.

“I’m not saying we won’t do any other business or if nobody will leave before the deadline.

“Nothing is in the pipeline at the moment, but there are four or five days to go before the deadline…

“I don’t see us spending more money, but this world changes quickly.”

Given Moyes usually plays his cards extremely close to his chest over transfers, the fact he is refusing to rule out making signings speaks volumes.
