West Ham United’s hopes of striking a late deal for Ansu Fati could well be dead in the water, with Chelsea reportedly lining up a move for the Barcelona winger.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is in love with the idea of signing the West Ham target, and the Blues are the strongest candidates in the race for his signature in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes has already made some excellent signings this window, but it could be argued that another left winger is really needed at the London Stadium.

That’s a real shame, because Ansu Fati would have been a hugely exciting addition to Moyes’s ranks at West Ham. He has been described as a special young player by Eurosport.

Ansu Fati is a truly brilliant and exciting player, so it’s little wonder why Chelsea might want to sign him.
I can’t help but think West Ham should have moved sooner for the Barcelona winger.
Now with Chelsea trying to bring him to west London, the Hammers obviously have no chance.
