It appears as though one of West Ham United’s key transfer targets could be forced out of Manchester United by Sofyan Amrabat.

Manchester United signed Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on loan in the summer, and have an option to buy him next year.

The Hammers also wanted to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay according to the Evening Standard, but David Moyes settled on James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez in the end instead.

And now, one former West Ham target could force another one out of Old Trafford…

Big twist as previous West Ham target Sofyan Amrabat could force ‘world-class’ ace out of Manchester United

McTominay, 26, could now leave Man United if Erik ten Hag signs Amrabat on a permanent deal next summer, according to Manchester Evening News.

The Scot has been described as a ‘world-class’ player by Diego Simeone, so he obviously has something special about him.

It wouldn’t shock me one little bit to see Moyes move back in for the Manchester United midfielder either in January or next summer.

Amrabat would have been the better signing for the Hammers in my opinion, but there’s no chance of that happening now.

The Scotland international would still be a huge upgrade on Tomas Soucek, if Moyes does decide to bring him to the London Stadium.

And it is ironic that McTominay – a player West Ham want to sign – could be forced out of Manchester United by a player who the Hammers were heavily linked with signing for the best part of a year – Sofyan Amrabat.
