West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed Lucas Perez is an injury doubt for the Fulham clash, whufc.com reports.
Perez limped off at half time in last weekend’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace and then shared a picture of his bloodied foot.
West Ham will review Perez ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage before deciding whether he is fit to play.
Pellegrini told his pre-match press conference, as reported by whufc.com: “Lucas Perez has a pain in his instep. We are reviewing it. Tomorrow we will know exactly who will be in the squad.”
It is a blow for the Spaniard, who had earned a start for West Ham after scoring a brace off the bench against Cardiff City.
The 30-year-old has four goals for West Ham in all competitions this season but might have to sit out of the trip to Fulham.
Who could step in?
Perez started the last game but was replaced at half time by Andy Carroll.
Now fully back from injury, Carroll will be eyeing the starting spot for the Hammers.
Michail Antonio will also be hoping for a call-up in the absence of Marko Arnautovic and Perez.
Youngsters Nathan Holland and Xande Silva could make the bench if Perez misses the game.
Other injury news
Pellegrini added that Jack Wilshere remains sidelined for tomorrow, saying: “Jack Wilshere continues his treatment with his ankle. He will not be involved in this game.”
Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez, Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Ryan Fredericks and Arnautovic all remain injured.
