West Ham will welcome Birmingham City to The London Stadium in the FA Cup.

The third round draw took place last night and West Ham have a home tie against Championship side Birmingham.

It has been a few years since the Hammers met Birmingham, and even longer since that was a top flight clash.

But the two sides will scrap it out for a place in the FA Cup fourth round in early January.

And the game has added meaning for West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold, who used to be in charge of Birmingham.

Birmingham have been scrapping for survival in the Championship for the past few seasons but they are looking better this term.

Under Garry Monk, the Blues are sitting 10th in the league table, four points shy of the play-off zone.

Nippy forward Che Adams and target man Lukas Jutkiewicz are the danger men up front, combining well to create a good partnership.

Elsewhere, Maikel Kieftenbeld is reliable in the holding midfield role and Harlee Dean provides solidity in the back line.

Birmingham will be eyeing a cup upset but West Ham could take this seriously as it is a genuine chance to compete for silverware.

Below are some tweets from West Ham fans discussing the third round draw.
