Norwich boss Daniel Farke spoke to reporters yesterday, and praised today’s opponents West Ham for showing real ambition in the transfer market this summer.
The Hammers were heavily active in the transfer market.
Manuel Pellegrini brought in Sebastien Haller, Pablo Fornals and Goncalo Cardoso for more than £70 million.
West Ham also signed backup goalkeepers David Martin and Roberto.
The east London outfit have made a decent start to their 2019/20 campaign, and a win against Norwich would be the ideal way to head into the two-week international break.
That will be easier said than done, however.
Farke spoke to reporters yesterday, and offered high words of praise for the Hammers’ transfer business, as quoted by The Pink Un:
“The transfer of Haller for I think £45 million shows the ambition of the club, and he was not their only signing.”
Haller has already got off the mark for West Ham, having scored a brace away at Watford last weekend.
And he will be keen to add to his tally later today at home to Norwich.
It should be a wonderfully exciting game of football on display at the London Stadium, and both sides will fancy their chances of securing all three points.
