There are a few question marks over West Ham United’s team selection ahead of the visit of Manchester United.
West Ham entertain the Old Trafford side at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side got the season off to a terrible start with a 5-0 drubbing to the Red Devils’ Manchester rivals City.
But West Ham are unbeaten since and being tipped to challenge the top six.
The Hammers drew 0-0 with Aston Villa on Monday night despite going down to 10 men for the last 27 minutes.
West Ham tipped for top six
With the Premier League looking wide open this year, transitional clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be under threat from the likes of West Ham, Leicester and Everton.
Pellegrini will want to see his side continue to play ‘like a big team’ and try to dictate the game.
The Hammers are level on points with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and could find themselves in the top four with a win.
Key to West Ham’s recent form has been keeping a settled side.
That won’t be possible for Sunday’s game.
Masuaku suspended, Lanzini a doubt
Arthur Masuaku is suspended while Manuel Lanzini is a doubt according to the Hammers boss (whufc.com).
But pictures from West Ham’s pre-Manchester United training session at Rush Green tell their own story. And they continue to prove West Ham really is a happy camp with the players sporting wide smiles.
Aaron Cresswell looked focused after Pellegrini told the press he would start in place of the suspended Arthur Masuaku.
Ryan Fredericks was all smiles after his best Hammers performance for some time.
There was no sign of Manuel Lanzini as he is a doubt for Sunday’s big game.
Pellegrini too looked focused as he addressed the players while Mark Noble, Robert Snodgrass, Pablo Fornals, Issa Diop and Sebastien Haller were also pictured.
