Ryan Fredericks has disappointed on the most part since joining West Ham on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.

The 27-year-old has made 38 appearances for the Hammers, racking up two goals and three assists in the process (Transfermarkt).

He is currently out injured with a shoulder problem.

And Claret and Hugh claimed the other day that West Ham could be prepared to cut their losses and sell Fredericks in the summer.

The former Fulham right-back, who earns £40,000 per week according to Spotrac, seems to have all of the attributes needed to be a truly elite player.

But he just hasn’t made the most of his raw ability. Fredericks has been incredibly low on confidence this season. And he seems to be scared to use his blistering pace to take on opposing players.

Considering how much was expected of him when he arrived at the London Stadium, his 20 months spell with the Hammers must be classed as a big disappointment.

And some West Ham fans are calling for Fredericks to be sold…
