West Ham are leading Tottenham in the race to sign Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy, according to the Sun, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The east London outfit were allegedly trying to sign a forward during the January transfer window.
In fact, they were actually in talks to bring Guirassy to the London Stadium, according to Sky Sports. But that move obviously failed to materialise.
And now the Sun suggest that West Ham are leading Tottenham and Brighton in the race to sign the £20 million-rated hitman.
The British tabloid claims that talks between the Hammers and Amiens have already begun.
Guirassy has hardly been in prolific form this season. The 23-year-old has scored eight goals in 22 Ligue 1 games for Amiens this season (Who Scored).
Standing at 6ft 2in tall, the Frenchman possesses the perfect physique to succeed in the Premier League, however. And he is obviously very strong in the air, winning an average of 4.1 aerial duals per game in 22 league outings this season (Who Scored).
Some West Ham fans aren’t convinced, however. They took to Twitter in reaction to the report claiming that the Hammers are leading the race to sign Guirassy…
