Football Insider claimed yesterday that West Ham are actively trying to find Jack Wilshere a new club, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.
The 28-year-old joined the east London outfit in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer, after his contract had expired with Arsenal.
The 34-capped England international has really struggled with injuries throughout his entire career. And those problems have continued for the midfielder at the London Stadium.
Wilshere has made just 16 appearances for the Hammers in 20 months, racking up just one goal and one assist in the process (Transfermarkt).
And he has made just eight appearances for the east London outfit this season (Transfermarkt).
The former Arsenal man is out of contract in the summer of 2021. And considering the fact that he earns £100,000 per week (Spotrac), moving him on as soon as possible will surely be the right decision.
And Football Insider claims that is exactly what West Ham want to do.
Some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the news that Wilshere could be moved on sooner rather than later…
Just pay him off … easier option

Sooner the better really fed up with players (sorry can’t call him a player he doesn’t play) sucking money from our club with no real Conscience we always seem to get them at West Ham

The big question is where to? All avenues are closed. The Jack Wilshere “experiment” has failed. Could somebody pull out his club intro video for prosperity please? Cheers.
