West Ham United co-owner David Gold has singled out the returning Fabian Balbuena with a message ahead of the game against Cardiff City.
The Hammers travel to Wales to face Cardiff on Saturday afternoon.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side go into the game knowing a win could take them within a point of a potential Europa League spot with eight games to play.
West Ham are battling Everton, Watford and Wolves for seventh spot.
West Ham have designs on Europe
That will become a Europa League place should either of the Manchester clubs win the FA Cup.
It would be some achievement given the injury problems Pellegrini has had to endure during his first season at the club.
West Ham have slowly but surely been getting back to something like full strength of late.
The General back
Pellegrini’s squad will be boosted again in Cardiff by the return of Fabian Balbuena after three months out.
The impressive centre back has been a hit since signing from Corinthians in the summer.
And Hammers co-owner David Gold is delighted to see ‘the General’ back in contention.
Gold, who often uses Twitter to engage with West Ham fans, posted a special message to Balbuena on the social networking site.
‘Fit and in the squad’
“Fabian Balbuena is fit and in the squad for the game against Cardiff,” Gold said on Twitter.
“Welcome back Fabian and good luck. DG.”

Oggy the able deputy
Balbuena had forged an excellent partnership with young centre back Issa Diop before his knee injury.
But he has been ably deputised by the ever-reliable Angelo Ogbonna.
The Italian international needed games to shake off the ring rust.
Ogbonna has never let West Ham down, though, and has been superb in the last five or six games.
Therefore Balbuena will not be rushed back into the team.
