West Ham ace Pablo Fornals spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after his side’s win over Manchester united yesterday, and raved about the atmosphere at the London Stadium.
The Hammers never needed to get out of second gear. And they comfortably beat an abysmal United side.
West Ham seem to be completely at home in the London Stadium now. They moved to their Stratford home in 2016, and they suffered a few teething problems to begin with.
Their recent home form has been excellent, however. They have lost just two fo their last 13 games at the London Stadium, and it is slowly beginning to feel like a fortress for the Hammers.
Fornals, who arrived in east London from Villarreal for £24 million in the summer, told the club’s official website just how impressed he was with the atmosphere created by the fans against United on Sunday:
“The atmosphere in the stadium was amazing. I had four friends and my girlfriend here too. Now I’ll ask them if they enjoyed the game, but [from the pitch] I think that the atmosphere was unbelievable!”
West Ham now have two away matches, and do not play again at the London Stadium until October 5th.
They face Oxford United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night before travelling to the south coast to take on Bournemouth on Saturday.
And a couple of wins in those games really would have the London Stadium bouncing for the visit of Crystal Palace in two weeks time.
