Trevor Sinclair absolutely raved about West Ham ace Declan Rice when speaking to talkSPORT yesterday.
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene for the Hammers last term, and he was undoubtedly one of Manuel Pellegrini’s best, most consistent performers.
The West Ham youngster was so impressive throughout the course of the season, and his fine displays did not go unnoticed.
According to the Sun, Manchester United and Manchester City are both very keen to sign Rice at some point.
But as things stand, he remains very much a Hammers player.
Despite his tender years, the England international plays like he is an experienced pro, and he will be hoping for another fine season for West Ham this season.
Former Hammer Trevor Sinclair spoke to talkSPORT (August 9th at 17:29), and did not hold back in his praise for the defensive midfielder:
“We were talking about Rodri, it’s no surprise that Manchester City were linked with him. Screens, disciplined, fantastic technique keeping the ball. For me – any young player coming up, if you want to see how to conduct yourself on the pitch and deal with big situations and that atmosphere, stay calm and stick to what you know; I think he’s a great example.”
If Rice continues to improve, he will undoubtedly go on to become one of the best central midfielders in world football.
And West Ham fans will be praying that he remains in east London for the remainder of his career.
