Robbie Savage predicted that West Ham will finish in 18th position this season, when speaking on his official Twitter account.

The Hammers are currently sitting in 18th spot in the Premier League table, one point adrift of safety.

David Moyes’s men also face some extremely difficult games over the next couple of months.

West Ham face an away game at Manchester City on Wednesday, followed by a trip to Liverpool the following Monday night.

They then play host to a resurgent Southampton side before traveling to Arsenal. The Hammers then welcome Wolves to the London Stadium. Their nightmare run finishes with a trip to Tottenham and a home game against Chelsea.

Moyes really needs his best players to stand up and be counted.

Savage believes it could be too little too late for West Ham, however, sharing how he thinks they will finish inside the bottom three, when speaking on his official Twitter account:

“In 18th, will be West Ham on 34 points, they’ve still got to play six of the top 10.”

Our View

It will be hard work, but the Hammers are more than capable of avoiding the drop. They must be targeting victories in their home games against Southampton, Wolves, Chelsea, Burnley, Watford and Aston Villa.

If they can win four of those games that’s 12 points. That would take them onto 36 points and surely they would be able to get enough points from the rest of their games to avoid the drop.

Who knows? Maybe that’s just us being optimistic. But David Moyes certainly has the quality at his disposal to guide his side to safety.
