According to a report from Football Insider, West Ham are actively trying to find Hammers midfielder Jack Wilshere a new club.
The 28-year-old joined the east London outfit in the summer of 2018 on a free transfer, after his contract had expired with Arsenal.
The 34-capped England international has desperately struggled with injuries throughout his entire career.
And those problems haven’t gone away since joining West Ham.
Wilshere has made just 16 appearances for the Hammers in 20 months, racking up just one goal and one assist in the process (Transfermarkt).
The Englishman has made just eight appearances for the east London outfit this season (Transfermarkt).
It is clear to see that he will most likely never reach the levels he once reached.
The former Arsenal man is out of contract in the summer of 2021. And considering the fact that he earns £100,000 per week (Spotrac), it would be no surprise to see the Hammers try to move him on at the end of this season.
Football Insider claims that West Ham are already making moves to get rid of Wilshere. Even if that means losing him on a free transfer.
And if the Hammers do manage to move the 28-year-old on this summer, it will 100 per cent be the right call, both from a footballing perspective and a financial one.
