According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool duo Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne both want to leave Anfield this summer, after being linked with moves to West Ham.

Both Lallana and Clyne are out of contract with the Reds this summer. And they have already been linked with moves to the Hammers.

According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham are keen to sign Lallana on a free transfer at the end of the season. Whilst the Guardian claims that the east London outfit want Clyne as well.

The 31-year-old and the 28-year-old Liverpool stars are both extremely experienced in playing at the very highest level.

And it could be argued that West Ham really need players with the qualities of both Lallana and Clyne.

Liverpool duo would be decent additions

The 34-capped England international is one of the finest midfield play-makers in the league when he is on song. His injury record will be a concern for the Hammers, however.

Clyne, meanwhile, has been an excellent attacking right-back during his time in the game, but much the same as Lallana, he has a less than impressive track record with injuries.

With Pablo Zabaleta leaving in the summer, West Ham need a new right-back. And Clyne on a free might just be a decent option for them.

The Hammers also need some more creativity and guile in midfield. Lallana might be another ideal addition.

The Liverpool duo might not be the glamorous kind of signings that West Ham fans want, but they could both do a job. And their availability on free transfers would make signing the Reds pair well worth the risk for the east London outfit.

And if they are so keen to leave Liverpool, as the report claims, the Hammers’ job should be made that little bit easier.
