According to a report from Turkish media outlet Takvim, Galatasaray want to sign West Ham striker Albian Ajeti this summer.

The Swiss hitman has really struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium since joining the Hammers from FC Basel for £8.5 million in the summer of 2019 (Football Insider).

David Moyes will surely be keen to freshen up his attacking options this summer.

And the Scot will undoubtedly be open to the idea of selling Ajeti.

Turkish publication Takvim claims that Galatasaray want to sign the 23-year-old striker, and he apparently is their number one target this summer.



In 11 appearances for West Ham, the Swiss striker has failed to rack up either a goal or an assist (Transfermarkt).

In eight Premier League appearances, the 23-year-old has attempted just two shots, with an accuracy rate of 0%. He has also made just 15 passes during those outings (

It has been clear to see that Ajeti has struggled with the frenetic pace of the Premier League. Although it could be argued that he hasn’t been given ample opportunities to prove himself.

Because of the ongoing global health crisis, West Ham will surely have to accept a loss on the Swiss ace, if they do indeed decide to move him on.

But either way, it’s probably a wise move for the Hammers to cut their losses on the 23-year-old this summer.
